New employee at Neumarkt Galerie

In November, the humanoid robot "Pepper" introduced himself as a new employee at the Neumarkt Galerie in Cologne. This was made possible by the cooperation with the company Entrance Robotics GmbH. Pepper is used to control the observance of the mask obligation and the minimum distances of the visitors. Pepper speaks, sings and dances, with his gestures and facial expressions he reacts in a very human way and quickly becomes a popular figure. In addition, the escalator handrails were equipped with UVC modules to kill germs, viruses and bacteria and provide visitors with a safe shopping experience.

Apleona awarded PM contract for office portfolio with rental area of 110,000 m²

Apleona Real Estate Management has been awarded a major management contract by Corpus Sireo Real Estate for a German office portfolio of eleven buildings with a total rental area of around 110,000 m². The portfolio comprises five properties in North Rhine-Westphalia, including the Global Gate office complex at Grafenberger Allee 293–297 in Düsseldorf and Oskar-Jäger-Strasse 50 in Cologne in addition to properties in Hanover, Mannheim, and the Rhine-Main area. The agreement has a term of five years. The companies have agreed not to disclose the contract’s value.

The service agreement now in place gives Apleona responsibility for technical and commercial property management services alongside smaller capex measures and leasehold improvements in the buildings. Furthermore, Apleona is taking on facility management services for the portfolio, which will be performed by Apleona HSG Facility Management.

Apleona has already been providing services for some of the portfolio for some time. The company has consistently been the property manager on behalf of the former owners of the properties in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hanover since 2008, and has served as their facility manager since the end of 2017.
