Property Management meets ESG
Sustainability and ESG play a central role in property management. Environmental, social and governance factors (ESG) are an indispensable part of property management at Apleona Real Estate. The "E" for Environmental refers to factors such as climate, energy efficiency or resource conservation. In our company, the "S" for Social covers points such as occupational health and safety, diversity or social commitment. In the case of the properties that we manage for our clients, it also means that we expand the positive impact of the properties on their surroundings through our management. In addition to our corporate values, management and control processes, the "G" for governance also includes ensuring the compliance-compliant operation of our properties. In doing so, we not only fulfil the operator responsibility, but also provide the necessary basis for the optimal positioning of your property in all common ESG rating and ESG scoring systems.
As a competent partner in many ESG measures, we help to reduce energy consumption, optimise management costs and create image benefits. Apleona Real Estate uses ESG specifications, for example from the taxonomy, to significantly support you in increasing the value of your property.
ESG and ECORE Scoring
With ECORE, a scoring was developed to make sustainability in real estate portfolios transparent, measurable and comparable on the basis of ESG criteria. In addition to taxonomy criteria, the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement are also taken into account on the basis of the CRREM tool. Apleona Real Estate has been involved in the active design and implementation of the industry-wide ESG scoring model ECORE since 2019.
Through the ECORE initiative, we as property managers collaborate in ECORE scoring to capture, benchmark and improve the ESG condition of your properties. An effective ESG approach not only makes your properties greener, more efficient, but also adds value.
